A red car. A river. A story from 1964.
The Amphicar — the only amphibious civilian car ever mass-produced. Built in Berlin between 1962 and 1967, around 4,500 were made, of which at least 3,700 were shipped to the United States. Today, up to 500 Amphicars are still in use — nearly 90 of them in Europe.
